Great Baddow, a small village close to Chelmsford, is home to the picturesque hotel Pontlands Park and proved to be the perfect setting for the marriage of Alison and Andrew Kriescher.
Built in 1879 this Victorian period building glistened in the gorgeous Friday sunshine and was decorated so beautifully inside that I took my time to explore each rooms unique character. The property retains the Victorian look whilst the added luxury of the contemporary interiors made for an easy pre arrivals shoot.
Alison and Andrew said “I do” in the Lilli Room before heading outside for pimms and photos and it was in the grounds where my breath was taken away by the stunning garden comprised of a delightful bridge that crosses the landscaped pond.
Before enjoying a scrumptious menu in the Disraeli Room Andrew and best man Aubrey entertained us with several funny stories including a classic tale from Andrew of ‘Alison and The Penguin’ and a hilarious story from Aubrey about ‘The German Pear Thief’.
Thats was where I left the couple to enjoy their food and the rest of their evening in the capable hands of photographer Chris Dundon-Smith, who was a true delight to work with.
“We are just sitting on the balcony area watching the clip you sent and we were both absolutely thrilled with what we saw, you have edited it beautifully and have captured some really magical moments of the day, it made me cry watching it as I’m sure it will do with a lot of our friends and family.”
Alison & Andrew
Thanks again to Alison and Andrew for inviting me to film their special day.
